I know that Indian Fast Food needs no introduction. Everyone from a 2-year-old toddler to a 60-year-old grandpa seems to be enjoying it every chance they get. No doubt! It's delicious, it's filling, is really affordable, and readily available just any time of the day, being only a drive through phone call away. What more can you ask for when you are living life in the fast lane?
Cloths-N-Music is the American’s fashion culture. Likewise Fast Food culture is also entered in India. Yeah! No doubt Fast Food is tasty, affordable for all and promisingly gives us full of joy to every age. It is the reason almost all people like it. It’s ok to get an experience of such Fast Food once or twice but it never happens many times. Many of us are 100% habitual of it. They never live without Fast Food. Yeah! It is true that eating frequent fast food meals causes teens and young adults to gain more weight and face an increased risk of developing insulin resistance according to the results of a study funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and published in the January 1, 2005 issue of The Lancet.
After 15 years, those who ate at junk food restaurants more than twice each week compared to less than once a week had gained an extra ten pounds and had a two-fold greater increase in insulin resistance, a risk factor for type 2 diabetes. Diabetes is a major risk factor for heart disease.
Fast-food consumption has increased not only in the United States but also in India over the past three decades. But how many of us could know the effects of Fast Food? All you know what? Fast food is loaded with calories from refined sugar and fats (especially, the artery-clogging saturated and hydrogenated fats, which are repeatedly reheated to high temperatures for frying purposes). It is also very high in sodium, coming from common salt and other additives. On top of all this, fast food is deficient in dietary fiber and essential micro-nutrients like vitamins and minerals. If all you want obesity and many hidden diseases then just think about to eat or not.
